Jeff Ware –
Editor/Publisher; Jeff is an ex A grade road racer
and has raced 250 proddies, 600 supersport and superbike.
Also a bike mechanic by trade and an ex motorcycle
courier, Jeff started his journalism career with Two
Wheels magazine in 2001 and went on to start Rapid
Bikes with Peter Pap in 2004. |

Peter Pap –
Art Director/Publisher; Peter, or Pappy as his mates
call him, has been in the magazine industry for 15
years. A celebrated magazine designer, and ex fitter/machinist,
Pete has been riding on and off for most of his life
and worked on titles including BMW magazine, Fast
Fours, Overlander and Streetbike. Pete started Rapid
with Jeff in 2004. |

Heather Ware – Photographer/Associate Publisher – and all the other bits in between. Heather left her cushy job as Senior Learning and Development Consultant at AMP to join Rapid in 2006. Heather has been shooting bikes, touring and other features since 2002. She can often be seen tagging along with Jeff in the ‘Pits’, on the back of a bike, and at motorcycling events – Canon equipment in hand!

Wayne Gardner –
Track Tester/Columnist; Wayne needs no introduction.
The hero of 500 GP racing and 1987 world champion
raced professionally for 20 years before moving to
pro car racing for a decade. Now retired from motorsport
and focussed on his business, Wayne Gardner Enterprises,
Wayne is still a huge bike fan and rides his Fireblade
every day. |

Bernie Hatton – Columnist; Bernie's column, Rapid Riding, is a riding
tips column from Australia's best racing coach. Bernie has been a motorcycle instructor since 1985, and is a current national A grade road racer. In 1999 Bernie competed internationally at the Isle of Man circuit where he recieved a silver replica at the manx grand prix . A coach to some of Australia's elite road racers, a qualified motorcycle mechanic and licensed motorcycle dealer Bernie has worked in the industry since the very early 70s - being inducted into the national motorcycle hall of fame in 2005 - and now runs one of Australia's leading rider training schools Toprider. Bernie loves to ride or race anything on two wheels. |

Warwick Maguire – Chief Road Tester; Warwick, or Wazza, is an ex B
grade road racer and has over 20 years competition
on the tar and dirt under his belt. Wazza also worked
in the motorcycle industry for a decade and is a postie
by trade. Wazza’s experience on the road and track
is a cut above the rest and his column, Wazza, is
always a laugh. Wazza kicked off his journo career
right here at Rapid. |

Andrew Pitt – Columnist; Andrew, or Pitty, like Wayne, needs no
introduction. This year Andrew is riding in the WSBK
for Yamaha Italia and is sure to win some races for
us! Andrew’s column, Pit Stop, is written by Andrew
himself and always entertaining and informative. Andrew
has been a professional rider for seven years and
also has a business degree. |

Mark Stenberg –
Columnist; Mark’s column, Law Stop, is designed to
keep you up-to-date and informed about all the things
that get you in the dirt on your sportsbike. Mark
has been riding all his life and is bloody quick!
In fact, he lays more blackies than he has grey hairs! |

Jamie Bezzina – Columnist; Jamie is responsible
for Dyno Time, a tech Q & A section. Jamie, the
co-owner of S&R Pro performance, is one of Australia’s
top tuners and looks after the tuning of many of our
top road race and drag racing team bikes. Jamie also
owns the monster 500-horsepower turbo ‘Busa featured
on this site.

Ian Irving –
Columnist/Feature Writer; Ian looks after our Workshop
section and writes a column called Irving. Ian is
an engineer by trade and is regarded as one of the
best engine builders in the world. Ian is responsible
for many of the top road racing engines in Australia
and has a long history in motorcycle-related writing
and journalism. |

Paul Bates –
Feature Writer; Paul, or Batesey, is a pro stunt rider
who looks after our stunt section, Flipped. Paul currently
rides for Ducati and also runs his own extreme sports
and stunt show. Paul has a marketing background as
well as 20 years experience on one wheel! |

Ben O’Brien – Road Tester/Feature writer; Ben races supermoto
for us and tests our motard’s. He is also responsible
for the Rapid Motard section. Ben is an A grade enduro
rider and B grade road racer and has been involved
in motorcycle magazines for three years. |

Captain – Feature Writer; with a passion for Motorcycle Drag Racing - and in particular No-Bar Drag Racing, he has played a big part in introducing a heap of new riders to the sport. When he's not working behind the scenes with promoters, or on the staging lane encouraging new riders, he's providing us with all the latest drag news in his section, ET.

Keith Muir – Photographer; Keith is known in the racing industry
as the photographer to use. He has been shooting all
the major racing events for over a decade and also
looks after some of our road test and track test photography.
Keith uses Nikon equipment. |

Tim Munro – Photographer; Tim has been riding all his life and
enjoys both dirt and road bikes. He has been shooting
bikes for a decade now and looks after lots of our
track and road test photo shoots. Tim uses Canon equipment. |

Dean Yates -
Started riding aged five and raced motocross until
his late teens. He has managed to successfully combine
his passion for photography and love of motorcycles
and can be found most weekends lurking somewhere on
the Old Pacific Highway, NSW, snapping away with his
Nikon... |
