Kawasaki Proudly Releases the All New 2010 Z1000 ABS
It is with great pleasure that Kawasaki announces the release of the highly anticipated 2010 Z1000 ABS Super Naked motorcycle. Designed from scratch, the 2010 Z1000 ABS is an entirely new motorcycle from the ground up. Featuring a potent new 1,043cm3 power-plant with an intoxicating mid range hit, aggressive new styling and a new backbone frame with beams going over the engine instead of around, the 2010 Z1000 ABS is a balls out street-fighter at the cutting edge of engineering and design. Available in Pearl Stardust White with Candy Burnt Orange or Metallic Spark Black with Atomic Silver, the 2010 Z1000 ABS is available now at your nearest Kawasaki Dealership at the RRP of $16,499.

The all new 1,043cm3 engine offers greater power and torque than that of its predecessor. A bore slightly smaller than the 2009 Z1000 but larger than the ZX-10R, and a stroke longer than both, result in an engine that is very strong in the rev range most used by Super Naked machines. The power delivery is quite linear, but the engine spins up noticeably faster from 7,000 rpm onwards. The silky smooth response from mid-high rpm ensures excellent driveability and the good over-rev characteristics mean that power does not suddenly drop off.

To deliver a high riding impact, Kawasaki engineers wanted a quick-steering and light handling package in the new Z1000. The new aluminium backbone frame was designed specifically for the 2010 Z1000 ABS. Similar in concept to the frame of the Ninja ZX-10R, the frame beams go over the engine, allowing a narrow construction that is easy to grip with the knees. Lightweight (approx 4kg lighter) and highly rigid, the frame uses the engine as a stressed member and uses 4 engine mounts instead of 3.

The fully adjustable 41mm front fork features new settings to offer both sporty performance and comfort while a new rear suspension sees the shock unit and linkage positioned above the swingarm, far enough away from the exhaust so that its operation is not affected by the heat. Visible from the outside, the back-link horizontal monoshock contributes to the stylish new appearance of the bike.

Taking safety into account, the new Z1000 ABS receives ABS front and rear petal disc brakes. The front brake’s radial mount callipers and radial pump master cylinder offer formidable stopping power and superb braking control. Up the back, the rear calliper is mounted below the swingarm, freeing up space for the ABS sensor and giving a more racy appearance.

New handlebars, new ignition key location, new adjustable instrument display, new shorter mufflers, new fuel system, new wheels, new cool air system…..new everything. The 2010 Z1000 ABS must be seen to be believed. Ride it and be taken back to a state of disbelief! It is available now at your nearest Kawasaki Dealership.
