   Hi, Bob here, aka wombat as well. Refugee from 2wheels forum.
   Live in Sydney and own a '97 Yamaha TRX850.
   Come from a motorcycling family.....brother worked on Hunwick Hallam project a few years back and most recently the new Australian/Chinese/Italian venture the Vento 400cc 3 cylinder roadbike.

   Know a couple of people who worked on the HH project. That's gotta be almost ten years ago. Where have the years gone?

   Welcome. I love the TRX's. Any mods done to your ride? Fantastic bikes, and quite rare in comparison to the more common big carby Jap twins too!

   Hiya Mugget. No I wouldn't say 2Wheels is that bad. Even just went on the BSHTFU rally up at Bathurst 3 weeks ago. Just doesn't seem to be much interesting going on over there (of course until Boris logs on). Still get on there occasionally.

   Hi QuickChick. Mine is a '97 Red model with silver frame and gold(?) wheels.
   It's done nearly 80,000kms - no major dramas.
   Mods are S3 Performance wavy discs up front, R6 BlueSpot calipers, Ohlins springs - recently serviced by Jim at Zenopdamper, Braking wavy rear disc, FactoryPro needles and emulsion tubes. Running Pirelli AngelST on the front, Metzeler Z6 Roadtec on the rear. Secondhand TRX tank from Metro Spares ($300) ços the original has molto molto rust in it.

   What needs to be done :

   New fork tubes - cos the old ones are pitted. Might try and get some gold TiNitride ones for bling factor!
   Fit R6 master cylinder to get brakes to work better.
   Replace CV carbs with Keihin FCRs
   Rear hugger
   New rear shock as the old one is shagged!
   New paint job - maybe Moto Guzzi V11 Lime Green, with a red frame
