Hey All,
Just thought I'd post with some pics and initial impression since I put a Scotts filter on last night.
Observe the over-engineered goodness.

Nicely machined throughout.

Medical grade stainless steel filter mesh. Appropriate since it filters bike blood.

They tell me you'll only get through there if you're smaller than 35 microns.
Spring just sits in the bottom of the case. Nice and simple inside so there's nothing you can get wrong.

Clever adapter comes with it so you can tighten with your wrench...

If you can fit it between the filter and your headers. (I did, but it was tight. Good thing titanium doesn't dent too easily.)

The filter element is one piece, just push it down and 1/3 turn to lock it in. Cleans with carb cleaner, kerosine, soap and water... well, anything I guess. LOL

If you happen to crash and dismantle the fairings, at least everyone can admire your Scotts Filter.

It'll be interesting to see how it goes. There's a pre-filter magnet that will hopefully pick up any nasty bits before they get inside the filter. I have heard alot of different opinions about these, mainly from forums like ADV Rider. Some people use it so they don't have problems with blown water pumps letting water in and failing a paper filter. Others won't use it because they reckon it just doesn't do the job of a paper filter? But I thought I'd give it a go since I was really going through alot of oil and filters (the bike is my daily commuter at the moment as well as handling track duties), if it works good it will pay for itself in no time.
Has anyone else used these, any other opinions? Someone told me that JUDGE used one during the infamous dyno failure??
