This is where we all share our fave roads... Like The Farm LOL

Mt Imlay Rd
My pick for best in Oz
its been along time for me but my fave is still natio park ride through to bald hill and then down the coast road to the gong
Old Road is basically stuffed... too busy. Was brilliant in the early 1990s. 1990 to 1994 was prime Old Road time... GSX-R750Ms, first Blades, FZR1000s, 851s booming through the hills.
Outside of the racetracks - Old road. I'm there every weekend and occasionally on weeknights. Rain, hail or shine :P
Putty (at least 2-3 times a month), or the Oxley if I fancy an overnighter.
Can't beat 'em.
The old road is so gay, broaden your horizons peeps
It is a bit like that these days. No longer a local.
licola road, on a weekday (joys of being a university student), ultra tight and you're lucky to see any other traffic at all. good surface, some spots its a little worn but no leaf litter to worry about and some huge drops off the road if you stuff up
Haha why is it gay? It's almost in my backyard so I take to it every chance I get LOL. Oxley is good too. But nothing beats the track imo.
Well not gay but the Old Road was once a real dream. There were NEVER more than 6 to 10 bikes up there on a Sunday while it was closed between Mt White and Mooney Mooney and there were never Police. The speed limit was also 100km/h all the way through...
Can't go past the Putty, awesome piece of road, close enough but yet far enough away.
I lov Mac pass & Kangaroo Valley! Rode for years on dirt & here & there but mac pass was where I cut my teeth riding nice roads on a good road bike. My neighbour took me through there & I used to love chasing his viffer up & down. If you go through Thirlmere, Hill Top, Colo Vale, doen onto the Old Hume, around past the airport & along Range Rd it is a beautiful trip. Then down past Fitzroy falls & stop at the Hampden pie shop (better than Robertson) by the bridge it's a great day ride.
Sandy Hollow to Rylstone up near the top of the list.
Bathurst to Cowra is good when the pace picks up.
Bells Line of Road can be good but avoid early mornings in winter.
All this talk of beautiful roads is making me want to ditch work now and just hop on the bike and ride...
Bells is too highly patrolled. The boys in blue love that road these days due to the speed limit drops & it isn't in the best shape these days. Have to agree on the Bathurst to Cowra stretch tho.

You need to pick your days and times with the Bell. Weekday mornings and afternoons tend to be the worst. Allegedly. . .
I just like to go Beyond The Slab lol
Love the Oxley and Thundebolts and Bendemeer Pub
One day I'll love the farm.. When I get there ;-)
Well seeing as how I now live a stones throw from the Dandenongs and the Black and Reefton spurs and grew up riding the Old Road and the Putty, It's hard to say...might have to get the repainting finished and go for a ride just for comparison sake.
Although just thinking about time spent in Tasmania you could do a lot worse than riding anywhere down there.

The Snowy's and Tassie are the best but the Old Rd is close, sadly on a weekend I now normally cruise down the freeway and just catch up with mates - saves getting wiped out or booked</FONT>
Snowy hwy 4 me, and just a short distance away which is great.
my fav used to be from the back of beenleigh thru cunnungra and to the top of beechmont and down to advancetown then flat out to natural arch across the border to murwillumbah havent done it in a little while the road was a bit dicey up to beechmont with barely enough room for a car .... plenty of great goat tracks in the gold coast hinterland....
Beauty, a Queenslander has revealed a State Secret. I've heard that there are some great rides in SEQld but no one wants to talk about them publicly.
from waterworks road thru mt nebo and glorious was great but thick with cops go left to fernvale for a beer to take the edge off and back again ... or turn right and head towards kilcoy flat out for ages big sweepers watch out for the right hander that just keeps going.... turn right at kilcoy stop for a beer first then right towards mt mee and down to dayborough say gday to "shiney" and another beer at dayborough pub or left at kilcoy and off to monteville phew.... big day great rides
Gees you're a good bloke Andy. I find it hard to believe what people say about you, ha ha
So, you like a beer, do you?
my favourite ? Alpine rd NSW 2nd week in november ..so far ,,
Any ride would do right now on any bike. Damn domestic duties.... and prep's for WSBK
hey mick got a gix 1400 you can borrow if you want to cut some laps round SEQ!
It's hard to beat the Snowies & Tassie is excellent but closer to home there are some good back roads around Dungog Gresford that are quiet & a run up the old hwy at Bulahdelah & down thru Nabiac is not too bad.

>There's still some great riding roads down that way. It just so happens my place is right at the start of that run out of Beenleigh....... NOT a coincidence that I bought here!
