Looks like Troy might be back this year - word is Ducati will run a third bike. Looking at the points available he could be world champ this year... This time last year Haga had an 80 point lead... The Spies smoked him for the title.

Any more update on this Ed? It'd be awesome if Bayliss came back!
wow, that would be great. I think the V2 dke get a 3kg min weight drop aswell at the same time.
That would certainly make it worth watching! Then put him back into motogp for the final race of the year.
The information at the time suggested that Bayliss gave up racing mainly because of his family. He's 41 years old and has escaped remarkably unscathed after a tremendous career.
As much as I'd love to see him back, I find it hard to believe that he will return with the same attitude and desire to win-at-all-costs that he left with. The latest AMCN suggests that his wife is not fully behind the idea either....
Putting in a few hot laps is very different to banging elbows with lunatics at 300kph every other Sunday.
For what it's worth - I reckon he will not come back. Sad, but true.
.......and I think/guessing there's a lot more to the Bayliss "retiring" story than we've been told.
Kind regards

The only bloke who knows the real story is the man himself.
Just a thought: He has nothing left to prove. . .
