Hi All,
Hi All,
There are strokers involved in all types of racing. . .
Sorry, you meant two-strokers not wankers, oops.
Can't wait to see this beast.
Now now!
Don't misunderstand me: I love two-strokes.
Road-raced a self-built and tuned T250, also raced an RZ-powered TZ.
I was a lot skinnier in the 80s and early 90s . . .
Sounds cool mate!
wheni get my self organised i wanna make one of those for the road in a speed triple frame with a belly pan gas tank and the spannies up over the head and out through the tail
water cooled Ocelot Racing 880 triple thats about 110bhp on normal gas with minimal porting
happy gas should get that upto about 200bhp plus..in my dreams ..lol
Jeram ha detto: Sounds cool mate!
have you concidered using a smaller/lighter frame such as an R6?
Sounds like itl be pumping, If you need custom designed and made pipes or anything to do with the engine or ignition, let me know, I know someone who might be able to help...
he has a proper 2 stroke engine simulator that is acurate within a couple % with hp and torque numbers,
so he can find the perfect port timing, ignition timing, pipe design etc for your needs...
make sure you use lots of two stroke shop parts! support your local strokers! haha
a bloke called smurph on the rz forums has a fuel injected 350 using R6 injectors, he sells kits online for a couple hundred bucks... takes the guess work out of tuning.... I recon he could make a set for you out of R1 injectors :D
anyhow, enough of my stories, your the one telling the story :D
keep me updated, Im very interested Thanks Jeram, I'll keep that in mind, Well the engine is a billet cased 20mm stroker crank x 78.5mm bore (DM) Twinwith a set of custom 50mm Billet Cyclones carbs & PVL ignition.10 Disk Lock up Direct DriveHere is a sneek peek of it.http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=156298&id=127352847304149

sweet mate!
Ill have a look at the pics tonight
yeah if youve got custom carbs, do that!
much better for top end power :D
whats the PVL ignition like?
can you advance/ratard it depending on the RPM etc?
Sounds like a great set up :D
what the hp quotes without the spray? Itd have to be putting out 150-200 if its worked over for screaming top end?
is she going to be a street drag bike? or a wheely bar job?
I really want to get a TSS1100GP (but the 1700cc 3cylinder version or the 2400cc 4cylinder version)
and build a 7second naturaly aspirated outlaw bike...
cost prohibative ofcourse ($30K)
The big issue with the bigger engines is starting them, the 800cc twin is at the limits of what a kickstarter designed for a 350cc twin can handle.
The triples and fours should use the right crank that takes a remote electric starter, this is of cousre ok for drag race use but not so usefull for street, hence why TSS use 500cc capacity engines.
These engines have been around in Quads for years but most people in the bike game do not know they even exist.
We have built a smaller triple at 1480cc that the owner sourced his own parts from the US as limited use secondhand, unfortunately the yanks sold him what they threw away which was a non electric start crank.
So far it has destroyed 3 starter idler gears trying to start it,they definately must use the remote starter in the bigger engines.
You can sucessfully use say up to a 535cc to 610cc capacity as a streetable engine and this should give you around 115~140 HP with the right combination, certainly a wicked weapon in an Aprilia RS 250 chasssis.
engine looks like a monster... how much did she set you back?
It's not cheap as you know something like that complete would be up around 18k by the time you had it running. (Complete Pipes and all)
!!!
Hi Mugget,Yeh that's a Drag quad,1480cc tripple cylinder 2 stroke 250hp ++.
It's real handful, It is one of the larger tripples we do.
just love the sound of a two stroke triple
Ya ain't Robinson Crusoe on that island, Morrie.
A shrieking four-stroke triple is also a thing of joy.
Oh yeah, welcome aboard.
Hi All,
Put a sidecar wheel under the chambers yet?
No not yet.
But i might have to do a re design i think and go either side and keep the weight equal.
R1 is ready to start...
Saturday? Cool.
Oh Yeh!!
Shame Jeram can't make it with his mini-rocket.
If it was in a months time Id be there with bells on mate :)
137 ear-bleed-causing horsepower!
SO LOUD!! So nasty! My eyes were still sore the next day from unburnt fuel. I love it.
Yep, it was running as fat as a very fat thing. I stayed in the dyno cell for the first run. The unburnt methanol and oil was pretty strong.
so when r we gona see some more pics on this thread?
Yeah - are there any pics or video??! You can't keep holding out on us! I would love to hear that thing and see some vids!
They are coming soon.
