RAPID BIKES February Issue
We’re back! Fresh from a month of much needed R&R, the team at Rapid are geared up and ready to go for a cracker 2009…
We have a bumper February issue to get the ball rolling with some awesome new and modified bikes, plus some feature articles with a difference.
Headlining the test list is Kevin Ash’s report on the beautiful, 1098-munching Ducati 1198 from the incredible Portimao track in Portugal. Rennie heads down to Melbourne for the national launch of every hooligans dream, the Triumph Street Triple R while lucky bugger Jeff gets to go for a fang on the Kawasaki Racing Team ZX-10R that Shannon Johnson piloted in the 2008 ASC series. Trevor Hedge pipes in with a quicktest on the BMW F 800 GS.
If this month’s feature bikes are anything to go by, 2009 will be a beauty. The Calsco NZ home-brewed masterpiece will doubtless provide unlimited inspiration to would-be bike builders for years to come, as will Tim Delooze’s mental West Aussie Suzuki Hayabusa turbo. Staying in WA, we feature a stunning Ducati SC1000 while back in NSW we stumble across a crazy Speed Triple that picked a fight with a Peugeot scoter, and won…
Our Used Ride for this month is the Buell XB12R and we farewell our little Project Hornet after 12-months of faithful service.
This month we’ll be crossing the globe with a feature on the Ace Cafe run in England with our streetfighter-mad fraulein Sabine Welt and Damian Cudlin goes to hell and back in 800 laps at the Bol d’Or 24 Hour race in France.
We continue our feature on Rapid Legend Malcolm Campbell and Mick Withers explains the do’s and do not do’s of adjusting your valve clearances.
With all that plus our usual columnists Gardner, Pitty, Gilsey, Stu McGraw and Greg McDonald and a host more, the February issue of Rapid Bikes is sure to keep you enthralled and may even provide a little inspiration to get that project out of the corner of the shed and into gear!
